Marone – Lake Iseo
Lake Iseo or Sebino is a lake basin, located in Lombardy.
It has an area of 65.3 km² and a maximum depth of 251 meters.
Located at the bottom of the Val Camonica; it is wedged between the provinces of Bergamo and Brescia and is home to the largest natural lake island in Italy as well as the highest lake island in Europe: Monte Isola, to which the two islets of Loreto and San Paul.
Lake Iseo, generally frequented all year round, has its tourist season from May to September, a period in which there are many events: sailing regattas, concerts and dance evenings.
There are various sports activities: swimming, windsurfing, fishing, diving and sailing, the latter favored by regular winds.
On the shores of the lake is also produced an excellent olive oil, with remarkable organoleptic characteristics.
